What is the procedure of the IELTS test?

There are four components in IELTS Test Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The Listening, Reading, and Writing components are completed on the same day with not any break and the Speaking component are completed within a weak before or after the other test. The total duration of the test is 2 hours and 45 minutes.

What is the validity period of IELTS certificates? Does it expire?

The validity of the IELTS test is valid for 2 years from your test date and not from the date of your result. Please note if you have taken the IELTS exam multiple times, your every score is valid for 2 years.

Which test would be easier: IELTS or PTE (Pearson Test Of English)?

Both PTE and IELTS contains the same modules listening, reading, and writing. Comparatively, PTE is much Easier than IELTS, most of the people say that PTE is more fair and true than IELTS. If any person is not comfortable with the computer-based test then IELTS is the better option than PTE.

What is the Test Format and how long will it take?

There are four modules in the IELTS test Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing. Is the IELTS test completed in one day?

What are IELTS Bands?

IELTS Bands is the score which is given from 1 to 9 for each part of the test. The average score when overall we get (e.g., 5.0, 6.0, 7.0) or half (e.g., 5.5, 6.5, 7.5) bands in each test- Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking.

What can I bring into the examination room?

You will have to bring a photo identification (such as a driver license, passport, or UNE student card) and you will need to bring your own pencils, pens, rulers, and other required aids such as authorized texts and calculators etc, that are permitted.

What is Speaking test?

In a speaking test, you have a discussion with the certified trained examiner. The topics of the Speaking test related to the real-life situation. The test duration is around 11-14 minutes with 3 parts. In the first part, you need to prepare to speak about yourself, your family, your interests, and your work. In part 2, you speak on a topic. There will be a task card, where you speak on a particular topic, and also with points than you can cover in your talk. In part 3, you have a longer discussion on the topic, there will be questions asked related to the topic of part 2.

Can I use a pen for the Listening and Reading tests?

In IELTS listening and reading, you must bring a pencil for filling the answer sheet. This means you have to bring an eraser also in the examination room for editing your text.

Which country doesn’t require IELTS?

There are seven countries in which IELTS primarily required. These are Australia, United States of America, United Kingdom,  Canada, Poland, Latvia, Singapore, Czech Republic.
